Our Hayward yard is about 15 minutes down I-880 from San Leandro BART, which is close enough that a 5 a.m. pickup here does not start with a long empty drive. No marketplace, no subcontractor, no 20–40% broker margin on top of the operator rate. Same company owns the coach, employs the driver and takes your call.
CPUC TCP 0037963 · USDOT 3126263 · commercial auto liability on every coach · certificates of insurance issued same business day.
Our own vehicles, photographed by our crew. Not stock photography, not a partner's coach.

Distances are road miles from San Leandro BART on San Leandro Boulevard. Times are typical off-peak, before I-880 stacks up at Marina Boulevard. These are runs we stage here every week.
| Trip | What it usually looks like | Miles | Drive | Best vehicle |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Oakland International (OAK) group transfersDoolittle Dr and Hegenberger Rd, or I-880 north | One of the shortest airport hops we run anywhere, which means a delayed flight is absorbed as a hold rather than an extra hour billed. Two routes in, so a backup on Hegenberger does not strand the group. | 7 | 12 min | 56-pax coach |
| Industrial and tech-campus shift shuttlesDavis St, Marina Blvd, Alvarado St, San Leandro Tech Campus | Shift-timed loops between BART, employee lots and plant gates on a contract rate. Same driver each cycle, fixed departures, and a live tracking link the shift supervisor can leave open on a screen. | 3 | 10 min | 24–35-pax minibus |
| Cherry Festival and downtown event park-and-rideE 14th St, Downtown San Leandro, Bayfair satellite lots | Festival weekends fill the downtown lots first, so the shuttle runs from Bayfair and the civic lots. Sixty-nine seats a lap keeps the queue moving without a line of vehicles on East 14th. | 2–4 | 10 min | 69-pax double-decker |
| Coliseum and Chase Center event nightsI-880 north to the Coliseum complex, or the Bay Bridge to Mission Bay | Group nights out where the driver waits through the event and the pickup point is agreed before you go, because arena crowds and rideshare pins do not mix well after a show. | 5–22 | 12–40 min | 56-pax coach |
| Weddings, quinceañeras and reception loopsMarina Park, Downtown E 14th St, Bayfair hotel block | Hotel to ceremony to reception with a late run written into the quote. The vehicle is sized to the venue driveway so guests are not walking the last block in heels. | 2–8 | varies | 24–35-pax minibus |
| SFO groups over the San Mateo BridgeCA-92 west from I-880 to US-101 north | The bridge crossing makes SFO a real option from here, and if the timing is tight we can start the coach from our South San Francisco yard on the far side instead of deadheading across. | 25 | 30–35 min | 56-pax coach |
| School, band and youth sports travelSan Leandro Unified, Marina Park fields, Bayfair, Washington Manor | League travel, tournaments and field trips on coaches with luggage bays. Drivers are our employees, in our DOT drug-and-alcohol program, with records the district can review in advance. | 5–150 | varies | 56-pax coach |
| Executive and small-group runs into Silicon ValleyI-880 south through Hayward, Fremont and Milpitas | Client visits and vendor days down the peninsula side of the bay, one quiet cabin, the same driver holding between meetings rather than a fresh pickup for every leg. | 30 | 35–45 min | 14-pax Sprinter |

Most sites ranking for "charter bus San Leandro" do not own a single vehicle. They resell operators like us and add a margin. Here is what changes when you skip that layer.
| Question | Umbrella Global Bus | Booking marketplace |
|---|---|---|
| Who owns the vehicle? | We do. Titled, insured and maintained by Umbrella. | A third-party operator assigned after you pay, often unnamed until day-of. |
| Who is driving? | Our employee, in our DOT drug-and-alcohol program, known to our dispatch. | Whoever the assigned operator sends. |
| What is the price built from? | Our operator rate, itemized: hours, deadhead from South San Francisco, tolls, gratuity. | An operator's rate plus the platform's margin, typically 20–40%. |
| Who answers at 5:40 a.m. when the bus is late? | The dispatcher who assigned the driver, with the coach on GPS. | A call center that has to phone the operator. |
| Certificate of insurance for a venue or employer? | Issued by us, usually same business day. | Requested from the operator through the platform. |
| Can I track the bus? | Yes, a live tracking link for every trip. | Depends on the operator. |
Ranges are published so you can budget before calling. The quote itself is itemized to the hour and the mile and holds after booking unless the trip changes.
Driver included. Five-hour minimum, so a half day runs $750–$875. Shift shuttles, OAK runs, wedding loops, downtown event work.
Driver included. Quoted per itinerary on top of the hourly rate because deadhead, tolls and return time change the total.
Daily fixed routes for San Leandro industrial and tech-campus employers. Monthly invoicing, PO-based billing and net terms.
Always included: driver, fuel, standard insurance, live tracking. Quoted separately: tolls, parking, driver overnight on multi-day trips, gratuity if you choose to add it.
A half-day (5-hour) 24-35 passenger minibus in San Leandro typically runs $750–$875 including driver. A 56-passenger motorcoach is quoted per itinerary. San Leandro is 15 minutes from our Hayward yard, so the deadhead line on your quote is about as small as it gets in the East Bay.
About 7 road miles, roughly 12 minutes off-peak by way of Doolittle Drive or Hegenberger Road. We track the flight and hold the vehicle nearby, so a 40-minute delay usually costs you a short wait instead of a second billed hour.
Yes. Shift-timed loops between BART, employee lots and plant gates run on a contract rate rather than an hourly charter rate, with fixed departures, the same drivers on the route and a live tracking link for your shift supervisor.
We are the operator. The bus is ours, the driver is our employee, the shop that services the vehicle is ours, and we hold CPUC TCP 0037963 and USDOT 3126263 directly. Nothing about your booking gets passed to another company.
Yes, and it comes from us rather than a third party, usually the same business day. We name San Leandro Unified, the city or your company as certificate holder with the endorsements their contracts department specifies.
Yes. All three 69-passenger double-deckers carry a wheelchair lift and a restroom, and one 56-passenger coach and one minibus are lift-equipped. Tell dispatch how many wheelchair positions you need and we assign the right unit rather than improvising on the day.
